Quality Policy
Hospital Accreditation The pursuit for quality is one of Santa Cruz Hospital’s (SCH) trademarks. Due to this, it has voluntarily adhered to Hospital Accreditation, a devoid and periodic evaluation system of the medical and administrative procedures that guarantee not only a friendly service but also a safe one in terms of medicine and science. NAO – National Accreditation Organization is responsible for promoting this process, granting a quality seal to hospitals which stand-out for the quality and safety offered in their services. NAO (ONA- www.ona.org.br) is a non-governmental organization supported by ANVISA (National Health Surveillance Agency) and the Ministry of Health. Since 2004 SCH, works with Hospital Accreditation methodology, and in April of 2006, after an evaluation by the Certification Institute (IPASS), it received NAO’s Accredited Hospital seal. What is Hospital Accreditation? It is a method used to evaluate the quality of the assistance provided by hospitals, performed voluntarily and periodically. What is the Accreditation’s objective? Develop an informative evaluation, aiding the establishment of practical and safety procedures in patient assistance and for all others involved. Who certifies the Brazilian Healthcare services? Certification Institutions warranted by NAO – National Accreditation Organization.
