Santa Cruz Hospital (SCH) gathers 40 years of successful experiences and community services. Nowadays, it features modern headquarters, highly specialized professionals, an Education Center and a wide range of services, which have made it a reference for general hospitals.
Over 30 thousand patients are assisted every month in the 165 beds offered; 11 thousand in the Emergency Room alone. An average of 300 babies is delivered every month. All with the support of our highly qualified medical staff composed of 700 registered physicians and another 2 thousand interns.
Santa Cruz Hospital’s quality can be measured by the low rates of nosocomial infections, an index considerably lower than that recommended by the World Health Organization. In April 2006, formal acknowledgment of this fact was certified with the Hospital Accreditation granted by the National Accreditation Organization (NAO).
Apart from emergency and elective services, SCH also works with Preventive Medicine. Services like imaging diagnosis and the Check-up are but a small demonstration of the preoccupation Santa Cruz has in caring for its patients.

On the 21st of April 1976, the present building situated on Avenida Batel was inaugurated. Since then the hospital compound has featured among the main private hospitals in the country, planning and building to better serve its clients.
